|Join the Alltstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge!
Help local domestic violence victims by donating to ACTS Turning Points by October 27th. We're proud to be one of the 200 Allstate agencies across the US with a 2015 purple purse, designed by Dee Ocleppo and Kerry Washington. The purse, a symbol of financial empowerment, retails for $350 at Saks. If you make a donation, we will send you a purple purse tassel and you may win the Purple Purse in our raffle at the end of October.
ACTS Turning Points is the only comprehensive Domestic Violence intervention program serving Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. Our agencies helped sponsor the October 2015 ACTS IWALK fundraiser.
|Is it Collision or Comprehensive?|
Comprehensive coverage protects your car, even if you're not in a crash, including the following:
• Vandalism and theft,
• Broken windows,
• Animal damage, and
• Falling objects.
Collision coverage will typically pay to fix or replace your car if it is damaged or destroyed in an accident, such as hitting another car or hitting a stationary object, like a bridge or a tree.
If you're not sure what coverage you have or need, please ask us during your annual insurance review
|Protection for Life
Allstate is introducing a permanent life insurance policy with coverage between $10,000 and $50,000. This protection could help make sure your loved ones are not burdened with additional expenses at the end of your life. Death benefits are guaranteed with a price that never increases. And if you are 45 or younger, medical screening may not be required. Call us to review your life insurance needs.

|Be Prepared for Water Damage|
One of our customers recently had a pipe burst in their home, but they were able to save furniture and toys from damage because they had a water sensor alarm. Consider picking some up for your home. In fact, if you share our newsletter on your facebook page, we'll send you one!
You may need to turn off your water if a pipe bursts or during a natural disaster. Also know how to shut off utilities in your home.

Our Chantilly Allstate Insurance Agency Owner, Mike Angles, provided advice on Allstate’s “Ask an Agent” resource this week. He helped explain whether or not personal umbrella policies are needed for those that rent. Check out https://www.allstate.com/tools-and-resources/renters-insurance/renters-insurance-umbrella-policy.aspx for the full article.
Mike shared that not owning a home won’t stop someone from suing you after an accident or other unexpected event. Personal Umbrella Policies (PUPs) help protect you against liability claims. If you are found liable for damages, one of the most important reasons to have a PUP may be to protect your income from being garnished.
A PUP provides liability limits beyond the limits of your regular policies (home insurance, renters insurance, auto insurance, etc.). A PUP may help cover court and legal expenses as well as judgement against you – up to the policy limits, typically between $1 million and $5 million. From renters to homeowners, PUPs can help protect you. Stop by our Chantilly Allstate Insurance Agency or our Manassas Allstate Insurance Agency if you have questions about your liability coverage and whether or not a PUP is right for you.
